BL Sour Cream was started in 1930 by Benjamin Lefkofsky, when he started making sour cream in his East Liberty Garage. The company moved to College Avenue in 1950 and then to our existing location on the North Side of Pittsburgh in 1980. BL Sour Cream and BL Dips are made right here in Pittsburgh using the finest local ingredients, using the same recipe for the last 80 years
